About ANN KUHNHERT

I am a self-taught Abstract and Geometric artist. I work with oils, acrylics and mixed media.

I am a cubist and a minimalist at heart and love abstract landscapes with very little detail that depict wide open spaces, however subjects for my paintings vary greatly.

My dad who was also an artist, taught me to love geometric shapes and angles as a child which turned out to be one of my strongest artistic abilities. I enjoy using bright colours and black and white.

You will often find cobalt blue, my favourite colour in many of my paintings. I like to work with large canvases that make a statement.

Over the years I have expressed myself through many art forms such as making and painting pottery, pewter work and dress design.
